2027 Meeting
Se Region of the NMRA
The 47th NNGC Committee is very pleased to announce that the Southeastern Region of the NMRA has voted to have our convention be their regional meeting for 2027. This will give their members the opportunity to experience a National Narrow Gauge Convention as well as their annual meeting.
There will be a few small modifications to the traditional National Narrow Gauge Convention program to accommodate this group. NMRA members will be encouraged to put their NMRA number on their registration form so it can be added to their name badge. The model contest will have the option of having an entered model examined by NMRA judges, especially for MMR status. Models entered for this judging will have a notation made on the entry. The SER will be offering separate awards in some categories. If the model entered does not fit into the NNGC categories of narrow gauge or short line, it will be displayed on a separate table for NMRA judging.
Our clinics are intentionally geared towards modelers of all skill levels. We are limiting the number of prototype clinics so more emphasis can be put on modeling subjects. Unlike the typical NMRA convention, visits to home layouts will be individuals in their own cars. There will be no bus trips offered to home layouts. Please plan accordingly. The Region will be having a couple of functions that will be unique to them, including a banquet.
